Our Code of Conduct defines the standards of behavior and professionalism required from our team members, ensuring the welfare and rights of all participants are protected.
Respect
Treat every individual in the Salams Therapy Hub community with courtesy and respect. Recognize and value the unique cultural, linguistic, religious, and personal needs of participants. Provide care that is empathetic, sensitive, and free from exploitation, discrimination, or harassment. Safeguard participants’ freedom to make informed decisions about their care and choice of providers.
Professionalism
Demonstrate professionalism, ethics, and integrity in all actions, placing participants’ well-being above all else. Deliver care of the highest standard, tailored to the individual needs of participants and aligned with their care plans. Uphold professional boundaries, and promptly report any incidents of neglect, abuse, or safety concerns to appropriate authorities. Maintain transparency, ensure ongoing professional development, and adhere to the principles outlined in the NDIS Code of Conduct.
Privacy
Respect and protect the confidentiality of all participant information, ensuring personal data is managed responsibly and securely.
Health and Safety
Ensure the safety and well-being of both participants and team members by delivering services only within qualified capabilities. Immediately report any emergencies or concerns related to health and safety.
Financial Matters and Conflicts
Avoid situations involving conflicts of interest and manage participant finances responsibly when necessary. Refrain from accepting inappropriate gifts and ensure accurate documentation of all financial transactions or exchanges.
Ethics
Act honestly and provide truthful, accurate information, always prioritizing the best interests of participants and Salams Therapy Hub. Keep records of service hours accurate and report any unethical requests or discrepancies.
